Out and About!

To our parents that is. We came up with this great plan great videos for his folks and a few simple conversations for mine. I still have one Grandma to tell. Hard to get in touch with her though. Anyway, we put a lot of thought into it all. Being very caring of everyone's specific and different needs. We've got the videos up on the YouTube .
So it just didn't work out with his family so well. His sister took it well. She had a few questions which is expected. Dad actually found out from sister. He was still sent a video, however, which after having watched all the other videos, he refused to watch. After a bi of an e-mail spat he watched. Followed the request partially. Then e-mailed a few days later trying to cover his ass about ho he found out and that he wants to be a part of Jules' life. Still forgetting a major fact by the way. If he wants in not only is he going to have to accept Jules and I as a legitimate couple, he'll also have to accept Jules as his son.
Mom made a fuss when she was told. Only watching part of the video made for her and none of the others at first. She called immediately with tears in her voice. How could he leave her out. Why doesn't anyone ever tell her anything. Why is this happening to her. Yeah exactly what you'd expect of a spoil damn near aristocrat. So selfish. Made every bit of it an attack on her. I answered the phone cause Jules was sure of what would be said. I wanted to believe in her mom so badly. I really wanted to. Thinking, she'll surprise us. She'll ask all the right questions. I was wrong. I feel so childish and stupid. She barely even brought up the transition. Just ranted about how Jules was always attacking her. Leaving her out. Asking too much of her. And then after I convinced her to just watched the damn videos she STILL e-mailed about how Jules was saying untrue things. What's funny is I was there for the particular event she brought up and I saw it happen. It was all really stressful, but we haven't gotten any calls or e-mails in a bout a week. So that's good at least.
My family was easy. Only really wanting to know what to call him from now on and if he'd be getting surgeries. I've still a few people to tell, but we're a pretty "go-with-the-flow" family. But mo stly, he's out. Free now. We were approved for the apartment we're moving too and we've got the "ok" to look for stores to transfer. He's talked to HR at work and found out what to do about the name and gender change without involving too many people at work. I guess I've typed enough today, though.
