Compliment Jules Day

So, did you know that today is OFFICIAL COMPLIMENT JULES DAY?

Yeah!

So, today, everyone kept telling me how great I am. First, the guy from DTR complimented my Ink-o-dem machine. Said he's never seen one so clean. I told him how anal I am about my machines at work. Mike, just last week, said I have the best maintained machines he's seen. Awesome! Then, Jarvis, a recent transfer from Atlanta, suddenly said "You seem too good to be here." Now, I've NEVER had a conversation with him before, because I was sick and all. And I thought that he might even think I was nasty because when we met I was so drugged up and sick that I just kind of ignored him. But he actually just said that out of the blue. I asked him what he meant, and he said I was just too good for Walgreens, and I seemed to know so much and be able to do so much that he didn't think it could be worth it. Aww, Jarvis...yer sweet. Anyway, I told him that I was trained at Wolf Camera and showed him how to do a few new things (He was so excited, it was nice to show someone something they didn't know). He's nice, and a fast learner. He figured out the leader extractor on the first try. Awesome! Anyway, so then I printed out all the notes for the week from my Area Photo Supervisor, Sam. I wrote notes and when Mr. Deritis came in, I gave him a quick 10 minute synopsis and some notes. "I have the best HPS ever." he said. Being serious, for once! And then I asked him a couple things and he asked me why I hadn't found another job where they appreciate my talent. He went on and on about the things I'm really good at. And I told him that I just don't know what else to do.

Reading this back, it seems all staged, like someone's going to fire me tomorrow. But it all seemed very sincere. I'm very happy that even though Mr. Wethal and the EXAs don't really believe in me, every one else in the store and DTR that come into the lab seem to see within minutes that I'm a capable and talented person. (Just like you always say, Angie)

Sometimes I wonder if when I'm going as "he", when I'm a man, if respect will come easier.
