The Ring

I put it off for a while, but finally got around to it this week. Dr. Jack Boyan makes callbacks amazingly fast.

Of course I was cross eyed and asleep mostly, I am still a bit now, so things didn’t go exactly As I had planned for me recording the call. Oh, well. My luck right? Anyway he sounds like a nice level headed guy. The type you watch football with or the type who cuts in front of you at the bar then apologizes directly afterward and wont leave you alone. Good sign…. Really. I’m quite bashful on the phone, beat around the bush a while.
DR. “So…7 0 6, huh? You’re in Athens?”
ME. “No Augusta…”
DR. “So what’s going on in Augusta to make you want my services?”
ME. “…uh…”
DR. “It must be something specific?”
ME. “…well…”
DR. “Calling for yourself?” that witty sounding half question
ME. “No, my partner.”
DR. “Your partner knows you’re calling?”
ME. “Yes…”
DR. “What’s going on?”
ME. “Well…I guess, um…we need you about…genderrrrr stuff?”
DR. “Ah!! So does your partner go by he or she…”
ME. “She..for now…I guess”
A bit of a silence there.
Go Angie…So smooth. He didn’t quite laugh at me. Finally he told me about insurance claims and pricing. Something I’m going to make sure to jot down for future reference for others. He works a good deal. Talks to insurance for you. Very informative. All in all I felt comfortable talking to him. He didn’t sound all old and sterile like most psychologists do. He immediately found a nearby appointment date. Jules should be calling to book that date on her lunch break today. It's an exciting kind of spooky, you know? Like watching The Ring. Waiting for the cue you might not get before the goings on occur.
